Sharing a Boston fall mini session with an amazing family. I’ve been this family’s photographer since 2016. It’s fun to document them every year and see the grown up kiddos!
Running around chasing pigeons at the Boston Public Garden was the highlight of the shoot. It’s challenging with kids, espcially with toddlers, to make them stand still for family photos. The best way to photograph young kids is to grab candids as they are running around, playing. Once they get their energies out, they are more likely to cooperate and stay still for a few quick family photos. We were fortunate to get a few family photographs before little Sammy ran off again.
Sharing a few of my favorites! Hope you enjoy these.

I met up with these three adorable kids and their mom for a quick Boston holiday card photoshoot. It had been drizzling all morning but we lucked out and the weather opened up right before our photo session. Mom wanted a quick photo shoot of the kids for the family holiday card. As you can tell, the kids were excited and ready for the shoot! We took some group shots and some individual ones. They also got a chance to run around and hangout by the beautiful weeping willow trees at the Boston Public Garden.
Holidays are a special time for family photo shoots. It can be a great yearly tradition to share holiday cards with your loved ones. Fall is also a beautiful time of the year for photo shoots. I really enjoyed this fun and natural family photoshoot in Malden, MA. We started the shoot at home since it was a little rainy outside but the weather cleared up soon enough for us to step outside and enjoy a beautiful fall day. We started in the family’s backyard and eventually walked over to a near by cemetary with a sprawling landscape.
I’ve known this wonderful family for a few years — our daughters attended the same daycare. Since the girls knew me as their friends’ mom, they got comfortable in front of the camera right away. The walk to the cemetary was a little adventure. We enjoyed the pond, puddle stomping, and simply holding hands and exploring. We even got a little muddy towards the end : ) It was starting to rain again and we decided to walk back home. The girls even got a super fun garden sprinkler backyard bath!
I love the ease and simplicy of this session. Sharing some of my favorites from this fun and natural family photoshoot.

Sharing one of my shoots from fall 2017 as a Beacon Hill family photographer. In-home photo shoots where kids can relax and be themselves are so much fun! Whether you plan activities for kids or let the session evolve naturally into a fun family event, kids photograph really well when they enjoy their natural surroundings.
The boys enjoyed making forts, tossing paper up in the air, running around up and down the pretty street outside, and hanging out with mom and dad. I’ve known their mom, Jasmine, since a couple of years. She is the Owner of Kodomo Boston – a chic children’s clothing store. I love the candid, laid-back vibe of the session, and had a great time documenting the family in their beautiful home.
Enjoy some of my favorites!

Met up with this sweet family for their son’s first birthday photoshoot in Boston on a beautiful summer day. We started the shoot in Beacon Hill and then walked over to the Boston Public Garden. The dapper little one year old was in good spirits and had a great time hanging out with mommy and daddy. We watched the ‘duckies’ in the pond, enjoyed the summer flowers in the garden, and ended the session with some delicious cake.
First birthdays are so special and I was enjoy documenting these. More first birthday celebrations soon coming up on the blog. Check out more of my work as newborn lifestyle photographer.

As you know, I really enjoy and specialize in candid family photography. I had an opportunity to work with this amazing Swiss family in Lexington, MA! This was my second shoot with the family. I first photographed them in 2015 when they lived in Newton, MA and had recently moved to the Boston area from Switzerland. Little miss M only spoke French at the time, and her parents helped translate during the shoot.
Fast forward two years…a sweet baby boy was a new addition to the family and miss M was an active kindergartener fluent in English and happily chatting with me. The family was moving back to Switzerland a DAY after the shoot, and I was amazed at how relaxed the parents were with pretty much the entire house to pack! It was a warm day in June, and we decided to stay in their gorgeous (and huge!) backyard for the shoot.
I absolutely love the casualness and simplicity of this shoot. The family simply hung out in the backyard, followed the kids’ lead, and had a great time. They wanted to document their time in the house the kids will always remember as their “US Home.”

Beacon Hill family photoshoot is always fun! The cobblestone streets, charming houses, and beautiful flower boxes always make a great backdrop. I have been photographing this lovely family every year since 2016! We walked around the historic Beacon Hill and enjoyed hanging out on a beautiful spring day.
Spring was in full bloom in Boston, and I really enjoyed photographing this lovely family. Their sweet little guy had just turned one! Grandparents also joined in for a few photos. It was a gorgeous day for a spring photoshoot in the Boston Public Garden. I’m looking forward to my spring shoots this year!

At home family sessions are my favorite, especially in the winter months. It’s easy to stay in the comfort of your home and have a low-key, relaxed photo session with the kiddos. I adore this family and enjoy photographing the growing girls every year – sometimes even twice : ) Sharing some of my favorite images from when baby H was only a couple months old:
